Tomorrow, (October 21st)
is yet another predicted date for the demise of the world. I have hesitated to speak about these
predictions that certain sects in the Christian community keep telling us about
because I don’t feel qualified to set a date for it. Other than telling you that the inhabitants
of earth are on a path to creating their own demise by their behavior, I would
never claim that I know exactly when we will all cease to exist. I will
tell you that I resent to high heaven that the so-called predictors of doom
have been adopting bits and pieces of Astrology to make their case for
authenticity. Unless they can use it to
their advantage, these people normally stomp on and trash Astrology and call it
Satanic. Using hypocrisy to state their
case will never make it possible to take them seriously.
For some reason, the people
in my neighborhood have started cutting down the trees in their yards this
year. These are old-growth trees that
are extremely tall and have stood for probably a hundred years or more. Until
very recently my neighborhood has been like a sanctuary, once you drive off the
main road into the subdivision. Many of
the backyards here had so many trees that it made you feel like you were in an
enchanted forest in any direction that you looked. If you allowed yourself the fantasy, you
could almost imagine that a unicorn or some other magical beast might walk
through here at any moment. I’m sure I do not know why my neighbors have
suddenly decided that they would rather see car traffic and a deteriorating set
of shops in a tired looking shopping center than the majesty of beautiful tall
trees that have stood protecting them from urban decay for longer than any of
them have been alive, but I am reminded of a Joni Mitchell song from 1970 when
I look out my windows now. It does only go to show that you don’t know
what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone.
In the Disney/Pixar film, WALL-E, people have left planet earth
and are living in spaceships and the earth is covered with trash that they have
left robots to deal with, as they are too busy with their technology to bother
with the mess they made of the planet.
This is truly the future that I see for us rather than a lightning bolt
being sent down from heaven by an angry God who is tired of our bullcrap and
baloney and has finally decided that we no longer deserve to live. I’m not
saying that a lightning bolt from heaven isn’t going to be far behind that
scenario, but I don’t think that we will be gone tomorrow. There are still too many things to corrupt and
destroy on our own for now.
I have been reluctant to
write any posts for this blog in nearly a year because I felt that I had
already said all that I meant to say.
Once you have gone back to the past and learned who you truly are and
what you are meant to do here, there is little more that I can say to people in
a broad spectrum. I am in no position to
help anyone beyond telling them how and where to find the tools necessary for
making the most of their lives with what they were given at birth. These are the only real truths that you will
find in this life. If you are lucky, you
may have been born into a good and intelligent family who can help you get the
best start in life, but most people are not that fortunate. It is more likely that you will be born into
a family that doesn’t have a clue about the reality of the human species. Most people are operating on lies that have
probably given them a work ethic and the delusion that they are doing the right
thing if they have money and someone to have sex with. These ideals have gotten us to where we
are. As they become harder and harder to
maintain, we have begun to take our frustrations out on other people because we
don’t have any idea how to make the old standby ways of life work anymore. That must be the fault of someone else. They are being stupid and selfish while I
always do the right thing. If we can just get rid of the stupid people who are
screwing everything up we will have a nice life again. So this is where we are.
Like the trees that used to be in my
neighborhood, life can never be the same as it was. It is gone.
We don’t know why that is. “Somebody
else screwed it up with their stupid, selfish ideas. Let’s kill them.” The problem here has many tentacles that I cannot
explain to you as a group, but it actually just boils down to one issue that
most people are never going to comprehend.
We are individuals who will not be able to stop the downward spiral in
any way other than to prevent our own.
There is no social or political or religious answer for us except the
one that was given to us at birth. If
you cannot access your connection to the universe to obtain a higher level of
clear seeing, you do not have any answers that will make a difference. Take your weapons out into the street and
shoot down everyone who looks at you the wrong way or has a different opinion,
but for every victim you find there is going to be thousands more who will
never see things your way. When you finally realize that you will never rid the
world of the dissenters, the only thing that you can do is decide that you can
live with them or you can get out of the world yourself. There are no other outward answers. If you can communicate with the higher levels
of intelligence, you will find that other answers do exist in the mental/spiritual realms, but they will require you
to rethink your own position. So, in the
absence of solutions that other people must solve because you don’t feel like
changing your point of view, what you have right now is the best that you are
ever going to get. You have no control
over others who are different. Not
allowing for differences in people makes it impossible to have any peace. The stage is set for everyone to die. Even your sacred opinions are not shared by
everyone so you can take your gun out into the street but so will someone
else. Which of you will pull the trigger
first? That you care so little for human life and a safe, clean planet is the
reason that it isn’t safe or clean or something that you recognize as right any
more. Cut down the trees and see just how dirty and awful your fellow human
beings have made our world. Take a good look as all of our illusions are being
shattered and we can no longer pretend that this is a great place. Learn to
like chaos and crime and want and need.
If you are in a position to hoard up the things that you need to survive
until the Lord calls you home, you are pretty special. “Who gives a damn what happens to those other
people who are just too stupid and lazy to do as well as you have? You aren’t as good as me or you wouldn’t be
poor, so die. You think that you are
better than me because I don’t look like you, so die. You are a woman, men are
better, so accept that I rule and if you don’t like it, die.” Now that you have cut down the trees it is
all plain to see. “You are probably
going to die tomorrow because you are stupid.
I won’t because I am so much better.” If for some reason this doesn’t
happen, carry on as usual. We won’t need a heavenly deity to strike us down if
we survive tomorrow. We can manage it ourselves thank you.
