“I don’t know where I'm a-gonna go when the volcano blows.”

-Jimmy Buffet

When you think that things just cannot get any worse here in America, you realize that they absolutely can on November 5th, Election Night 2024. The dreaded day when we will learn just who the Electoral College and wealthy campaign financiers will allow this country to have as our President again. Will it be Biden or Trump? We already know that they will not allow a 3rd party candidate to be the first snowball in hell to survive, so it is down to some sort of repeat of what we have already had, and the outcome will affect more than just Americans.

Will you put your money on the Scorpio, Biden, or the Gemini, Trump? Strictly speaking I would choose the Scorpio because they are at least theoretically capable of great depth of feeling somewhere in their makeup. I know what you are thinking. Show me where the depth of feeling was when Scorpio funded and supported two ghastly wars that have affected the entire planet one way or another. Why not choose the Gemini instead? Well, I cannot in all good conscience do that when it was the Gemini who thought it would be a good idea to inject ourselves with bleach to get rid of Covid 19, he believes that the fictional character of Hannibal Lecter was a great man, and reportedly said that we should drop a bomb inside the eye of a hurricane.  I watched the Presidential Debate last night and I can tell you that my money is still on the Scorpio, Joe Biden, for reasons that may be viewed differently by others, but they are valid ones for me.

These are dreadful times in America. I wish that I could say that they are recent developments here, but they truly are not. I have never seen any US President in my life do everything that they could have to solve the many problems that we have here. It takes a large amount of ego and high self esteem to motivate a person to run for the highest level job in the country. Anyone who is sure enough of theirself to run for the office is usually going to carry that belief in their ability into every decision that they make, and this is nearly always a recipe for an exaggerated response to any challenge to their superiority and authority, hence, the largest likelihood for a screw up is usually going to come in their decisions concerning foreign policy. I am rarely

surprised at how easily our government gets us into wars. Biden has proven to be no exception to that. And while it pains me to see the tragedy that so many people are experiencing right now for that reason, I cannot look at that continuation of an ego centric mindset that happens to come with the territory to base my final thoughts on their reality as a whole person.

In a previous post on this blog, I wrote about how to know what kind of character a person running for a political office is likely to have based on when they were born. In another post, I spoke about how Biden - Uncle Joe - really needed our help to deal with the fallout from the previous administration. To know astrology is to know that people are capable of great things and capable of terrible things at the same time. Each of us has to struggle with this duality in our nature but a large percentage of us don’t know, don’t understand, and don’t care to develop ourselves in the best ways to stay in balance with our inborn capabilities. I don’t expect that we will ever see a lot of altruistic behavior in a person who has very high career aspirations because the traits necessary to ascend to that do not include Mother Teresa like attributes. The one thing that I would always look for first in any political candidate is their capacity for empathy, and that will nearly always lead you to the Water signs. Most of our previous presidents have been Fire signs and Air signs. I would never say that they are unqualified to lead because they certainly can be, but the way that humanity has fallen off a cliff and descended in to hatred and barbarism in this century calls for emotional depth, understanding of human needs, and the ability to address the issues that have become alarmingly critical when people abandon their willingness to care for and understand the basic needs to sustain life to the point of denying us shelter, food, and healthcare. What are these particular times in human existence calling out for?

Are things so good for us that we should be focused on creating more ways to keep and maintain our finances and infrastructure? If they are, then I would be looking for the kind of people who tend to do well in that area. If there is illness and poverty (such as during the pandemic) I would look for those who tend more toward organization and sympathy for the sick. When I look at the differences between Scorpio and Gemini for the times that we are experiencing right now I am going to look toward Scorpio for the ability to “feel” the suffering of the people. There will be other times to come when Gemini’s abilities might be called for, but I don’t see that in 2024. I cannot say that Scorpio will hit the mark and do the right thing for struggling Americans every time. In fact, I know they won’t.  But I can recall many times during Biden’s term as President when he thought of the needs of the people when leaders before him couldn’t be bothered.

In the Book of Revelation in the Bible they talk about a future time which will be “the beginning of sorrows." I don’t know exactly when that started here but I can tell you that it has been going on for some time now. I can see no end to these sorrows for us because a change for the better would require a radical change in the way people think. When people believe that they are superior and entitled to a high standard of living at the expense of others whom they deem to be of lesser value it is not possible to rid the world of sorrow and pain.  This seems to be a lesson that many would like to delete from the human curriculum. Nobody has ever accomplished creating a balance in America between the haves and have nots in my lifetime, but I truly have seen times in the past when things were better than they are now. I will always be looking for that in this country, but it would require more of us to want it. So, I still stand with the Water sign that we now have because I still believe that this is badly needed.

I can tell you that I surely would love to be somewhere besides here when it all comes down in November but that just isn’t in the cards for me when you consider that it would cost a fortune to pick up stakes and just move around the corner now. As hard as I try, I cannot think of a country in the world where there isn’t as much or more trouble than there is here at the present time, and I really don’t know of any who would look favorably at another immigrant trying to cross their border, legally or not, even if I had the ability to leave.

So, I know that the political volcano is about to blow here if we aren’t prepared to stop it.  There are 169 actual volcanos in America with the majority of them being in Alaska and Hawaii. The likelihood of all of them erupting at the same time is extremely unlikely, but what we will inherit from a replay of the previous administration will devastate this country as surely as if all 169 of them blew simultaneously. The fallout from a long history of mistakes and bad decisions from our government is already spewing out the molten ash of their poor choices so it is just a matter of time before we are all totally covered in it. I say all of us, but there will be some very rich and powerful elitists who will run like rabbits with all of their ruinous ideals intact to other countries, probably yours, if the political tide doesn’t turn to their liking, and they will start fresh new corruptions there. I would heartily suggest that you turn those refugees away at the border. Just take a look at how they will have left America looking like the battle of Armageddon the day after. We have many big troubles erupting all over the world right now but the choices that we have to lead us for another four years come down to Water and Air again. While it is unlikely that any human being can come in and save the day across the board for us, I believe in staying with the family the way it is right now because jumping ship in the middle of a storm is a dangerous thing to do when the captain of the other ship has already shown that he has no reservations about throwing people overboard on a whim and cannot be bothered to give a life preserver to anyone who is sinking as a result of his one sided policies that favor those who don’t even need help. If the volcano does blow in that direction, I don’t think that we have a prayer.

You can spend the rest of your life looking for that perfect person to lead the world to peace and prosperity for all but ultimately your only choices are going to be flawed human beings who may or may not have the capability to accomplish it. We may not have much of a say in the outcome in November but most of us cannot leave here even if our country appears to be a sinking ship. The best we can do is vote for the person who at least has it in him to change his mind about some things when he sees that he could possibly have been wrong about a few of them.

Might As Well Face It, You're Addicted to Money

I have come to the conclusion after several decades of watching humanity and democracy get flushed down the toilet that the only way to stop the flood that has gone in to the sewer system is to take away the money. The people who have amassed great fortunes are using it to insulate themselves from having to bear any responsibility for how badly their actions are crushing anything that stands in the way of their accumulating more, and those of us who stand below them are finding out that we have little or no power to stop them because they intend to destroy us if we try. If their true power is money then it is a fact that their money has to be taken away from them. If someone is beating people to death with a hammer you would take the hammer away from them. It isn’t quite as likely that you would take their gun away from them if that was the weapon that they were using, not in America anyway, but that is another story, and taking away the weapon of money, if that is what they are wielding will be even more difficult but very necessary. The only people that I see with enough power to do that is our government. Since our government is unwilling to do it, we can only sit and watch as the destruction worsens if we don’t get up and find another way.

There is a scene in the Disney film Candleshoe where the children who live at the Candleshoe estate are trying to sell eggs at a village market to make enough money to keep from losing their home. The character, Casey, is doing her best American-style sales pitch to entice customers into buying. Another character, Cluny, begins trying her hand at selling with the intent of outdoing Casey by making outlandish claims about how the eggs will cure a multitude of health issues. She is told by the eldest boy that she cannot make claims like that, to which she responds, “Who cares as long as we sell more eggs!” Sounds like a true capitalist to me. Who cares as long as we make more money? So tell me, who does care that deadly fires, floods, poverty, hunger, crime, homelessness, gun violence, and lack of healthcare is killing thousands of people every day? You might hear some lip service about it from government representatives but it is a fact that they aren’t doing a damn thing to stop it. Who cares as long as we sell eggs?

Whether you live or die now depends on whether or not you can pay someone else for the privilege. I would really like to meet the person who decided that this was a good idea. Even more so I would like to meet the citizenry who decided that this was a good idea and never once sat down and wondered if it wasn’t a ridiculous thing to support. Once actual slavery was abolished in this country we were duped into accepting a modified form of it which looked better for us on the surface. Physical brutality was removed from the equation but fear was attached to employment then that our ability to make a living could be taken away from us at any time based on a whim. This system still exists more than 150 years later except in the case of unionized jobs. Servitude and wage slavery is a bargain that people struck with the aggressive and elitist thinking people who sold us the idea that they would take care of the problems that many of us feel inadequate at doing in exchange for it. Too many people have been willing to accept this rather than give up their perceived freedom from having to make the tough decisions that are required of a society that sees to the welfare of all. It was actually almost inevitable that those who were willing to put forth some creativity and muscle to make this an easier world to live in might get big headed and believe that “because of their highly superior brain” they should rule the world. We let them adopt that mentality and rarely, if ever, stood in the way of that kind of thinking.

In Astrology it is understood that some signs in the zodiac tend to be leader types while others make better organizers and so on. We aren’t meant to assume that any particular sign is superior to any other. What we actually need to assume is that it takes all kinds of people to create a civilization that is balanced. It is a belief in the superiority of a few that creates a tiered system of entitlement in most every aspect of life but especially in the workplace. That point of view is the main culprit in what has given us this warped way of living. More and more people are realizing how badly out of control that system is now but it has gone on so long and is so ingrained in our belief system that it will take a great deal of force and determination to wrestle the hammer away from those who wield it. In the legend of the Nordic God, Thor,  (if you believe the Marvel Studio’s version of it in the movie Thor) he loses his hammer, the symbol of his power, through arrogance, immaturity, and irresponsibility. Those who wield the economic hammer here are hundreds of years overdue for losing theirs. They have misused and abused their authority with respect to their responsibility to the people who have stepped aside to let them do what they are assumed to do best which is contribute their knowledge and abilities to the welfare and benefit of all. It is a very commendable thing to have had the foresight and resources to start a business to manufacture the necessities of life but it is only that.  The actual production is done by others, and to believe that as a CEO you deserve 300 times as much salary for having and implementing the idea is preposterous when you cannot produce 300 times the amount of work product that your employees do by yourself.

A great many people have finally gotten it through their heads that this is the major cause of why we have so much inequality in this world but they are at a loss as to how to stop it. People who have unionized jobs are attempting to right this wrong now but the vast majority of the people are not so lucky as to have a unionized job. It will take a government that actually sees and understands the needs of its people to change this. Without that, it will take brute force from the people to ever eliminate poverty. Will the people do it? Many decades ago, Governor Jerry Brown, of California was running for President and a national magazine put out a headline for a story about it saying, “Jerry Brown wants to give power to the people. But do the people want it?”. I guess that they didn’t because he did not win. We will have to collectively decide that we do want the power to live without poverty and stop the multitude of problems that have been created by greed and rampant inequality. Getting people to understand that this cannot be achieved without taking responsibility for how they have been complicit in supporting a system that allows corporate greed to remain and flourish has to be a top priority.  We will not be able to eliminate inequality in the workplace or anywhere else as long as we keep inequality in our individual belief systems. As long as we use money to buy ourselves a hierarchy in every facet of life as we do now, the ones who have the most money will see to it that we are never able to achieve it. The money is a drug that we are addicted to. Instead of taking it out of the equation we keep believing that we just need to have more to keep up with the higher level addicts who never believe that they have enough. They have already shown us that we will just have to deal with withdrawal because they are not about to share more of their drug. If we do not keep the buck from stopping at their house we will have to show them non-participation in their drug deals. We can do the work but we have to prove to them that they will not receive 300 times the income for what they do versus what we do for them. When there is no money there is no more leverage. Will they all shut down their businesses in protest? If they do, they will starve like the rest of us, or the people with the actual work skills will get up and do it differently and invite others to come with them if they want to live. Yes, it has come to that.

Why I Hate Money

My stepfather used to say that if the government took all of the money in the world away from everyone and then redistributed it back to them equally that the rich would have it all back within five years. I have never doubted that this is exactly what would happen because without setting up an equitable for all economic system before they redistributed the money there is no way in heaven or hell that the previous “haves” wouldn’t go right back to what they were doing before the money was taken. It would take firmness on the part of every government on the planet to make sure that financial equality was maintained, and I don’t believe there are enough people in charge who would stand firm on anything that didn’t set them and their kind on a higher pedestal from the get go. So, is financial equality even possible on this planet when unbalanced class systems have always existed?

I would love to say that spiritual awareness and Astrology provide answers for the trials and tribulations that have always beset humankind - but it doesn’t. What it does provide is a guide and a road map to balanced living and higher intelligence and ideals that can keep you from falling into the traps that the corrupt and the egotistical among us set to control and deceive us as we go through life. Its focus is on individual understanding of the self and our relationship to the creator of all life. It does not set down a plan to eliminate all social injustices except at the individual level which is the only level at which one has any power that isn’t a corruption of energies. When many people are connected to the higher intelligence then you have the makings of real social change if you realize your personal potential as it was given to you at birth. Then together with others who have realized theirs you have the combined elements of real change which can only be realized in the combined efforts of those who have transcended personal ego. This is a very tall order to attain. Few will take on the task because it is a lifelong commitment to yourself and it has to exclude selfishness. This can go a long way toward living in mental and emotional peace, but it cannot stop the ravages of a society that has set up a system that is reshaping the world to exclude those of us who believe in fair and equal treatment toward each other and would not be able to live with ourselves if surviving meant that we had to steal from and cheat others to do it.  If we were all the same, we would have no real need to be here. We were given free will to either create or destroy in this life and there are reasons why few people believe that they have an obligation to care about anyone but themselves. Those reasons would fill a gigantic book. Why we didn’t start writing that book as soon as we knew how to write one might take another book to explain.

When we got here, we had already lost much of our connection to spiritual and universal truths, so we had to take some hard knocks to get to a mentally receptive place in our evolution to comprehend those truths again.  Without chaos and crisis, we would never shift our focus enough to ask “why the hell are we here?” We have come to the point in human evolution where we have a pretty good idea why things have gone so wrong in the world but there are not enough of us willing to change what went wrong and a large percentage of the population have taken the position that they would rather destroy than create now. Religion, spirituality, education, and access to information all have a potential for helping to undo the damage that we have done in our world but they are like the old saying about leading a horse to water.

What I know from being a student of Astrology and the spiritual arts is that ego is at the root of every issue that has plagued humanity since day one. How to balance one’s ego is not something that humans want to bother with, and when you don’t bother with it you never solve the problems that have forever lingered despite the fact that many of us never stop trying. The problem of inequality, the problem of misunderstanding and abusing sexuality, the problem of crime and criminality, and the problem of mental illness has never been overcome in any generation.

Upon our arrival here the planet already had most of what we needed to survive. It had air to breathe, water to drink and bathe in, plants to eat, places to shelter from the weather, and sunlight and darkness so we would figure out that sleep was necessary. We weren’t bright enough to know that sleep was a time for reconnecting with spirit. Many people still don’t realize that. Everything else that was brought into existence was developed by us.  Money was one of those things, and like in the song Hard Headed Woman it has “been the cause of trouble ever since the world began”. Only sexuality has been the cause of more trouble. The money itself is useless. It only has power and value because we say it does. We could have chosen many other things to assign power to like oranges or tree stumps or pine cones but we chose paper and coins once we had created them. So, every problem that has manifested from its invention is totally human made. Sexuality issues were given to us by the creator but we have literally “screwed” ourselves into a multitude of life-devastating problems with it. And though it is the portal that brings us into human form we have abused the energy so much that it creates disease, mental illness, crime, and death every single day by our stupidity of it.

When the founding fathers in America said that “All men are created equal.” they were truly only thinking that white men were and they didn’t totally believe that. There are many poor white men and there always has been. It was no accident that women, the indigenous people who were already living in America, and people of color were not included in that statement. The founding fathers didn’t believe that they would ever have to share anything with them or afford them an opportunity to prosper if they didn’t feel like it. It is now close to 250 years later and those chosen people who were supposedly “created equal” see that when they did do some selective sharing with the rest of the human race it got a bit out of hand and exceeded their comfort zone, so since the 1970’s they have been working furiously to take back their “created equal” superiority and they have been doing a bang-up job of it. It was actually pretty easy to do once they got started but they didn’t really expect that people would start raising hell about it and bringing up Karl Marx’s name to make their point. Now, the elitists are getting angry and scared of a revolution that might do some redistributing of wealth, so they have stepped up their campaign to gather up the money and resources in to their greed pots, and since there is precious little government interference in their way, I fear that we have waited too long to call upon the spirit of Karl Marx to redefine the world. Too many roadblocks were set up along the path to their gathering up all of the aces to keep us from breaking their stronghold. Consider what the lack of adequate income and resources has done to us since the time when President Roosevelt set up the New Deal in the 1930s. Since FDR died there has been an extreme effort to dismantle all of the gains for people that he created, and as they say, “the s**t got more real” after the Vietnam War ended. Their efforts are paying off in spades now, and while there is possibly still hope and some efforts are being made to turn the tide, the battle for balance will not be won easily. But these things do not really explain why I hate money, do they?

I have never in my life seen a time when anything that I want to do or need to do wasn’t dependent upon giving someone money for it. Even before I was born someone was holding out their hand to my parents to pay for my arrival. As soon as I did arrive multiple hands were being held out for whatever I might have to have to stay alive. Without someone forking over some cash I would not be able to eat or sleep or stay healthy or become educated. Without paying someone, I could die from exposure to extremes in heat or cold, illness, starvation, crime, natural disasters, and the list goes on and on. Paying others for my ability to have lived will not even stop with my death. There will be people holding out their hands for money from my children when I die. Health care providers will demand it and funeral servicers will expect big bucks to dispose of what remains. Every life is a non-stop potential cash cow for the capitalists and trying to stay ahead of them without losing your mind is a never-ending struggle. This is a sad and disgusting testament to what human beings have created during their time on earth. So many resources were readily available to us on this planet when we first showed up. The Bible says that animals were here first. It is lucky for us that they weren’t standing at the entrance gate with their paws out demanding a payment from us before they would let us in. I would really hate to have to tell a T-rex or a Rhino that I didn’t have any money. (Trying to tell a debt collector that I don’t have any now is pretty awful, too. The threats and insults don’t compare with a large animal but they are disturbing to be sure when you are dealing with someone who has had understanding and compassion trained out of them.) No, instead we began slaughtering them right off because we were ignorant savages whose first thought was to take everything away from them including their very lives so we could be sustained and comfortable. (Notice any parallels between us and capitalists?). Even now, we still do it without giving it a second thought. That is, the majority of us do. There are many humans who realized that there was a better and more humane way to live. Many people provide care and protection for animals without receiving one penny for it, but there are immense rewards that they provide to us in return for their care. Loyalty, affection, devotion, companionship, and protection are just a few of them. How many humans do that without some sort of payment?

The struggle to stay alive and well in our current culture is increasingly more difficult by the day. I find myself now having to decide which is the most critical thing that I need to sustain myself every day. Will I pay the mortgage payment or the utility bills? I cannot do both. If I choose the mortgage payment and not the utility bills I can stay in my home for another month but if my electricity is cut off I could die from the extreme heat that we are experiencing this year. I will also lose my telephone and internet service. Just try to navigate in this world without those now. Should I buy food or should I buy medicines? How long can I survive without both of them? Account payments have had to be stopped which will destroy my credit rating and make it impossible for me to replace my 18 year old car. Repair bills would be impossible to pay for if it finally quits on me. But none of these issues have stopped capitalism from holding out its hand for more money than I ever imagined that I would be paying to just stay alive now. So, this is why I hate money.  If I just truly cannot keep up and finally die trying to, few if any would take much notice. It would be viewed by most as somehow being my own fault. I did not have the right job skills, or I didn’t try hard enough, or I said the wrong thing, or I did the wrong thing somewhere along the line. All these excuses are considered to be acceptable in a capitalist society for denying me a job that pays a living wage and a roof over my head. They are viewed as valid reasons for making sure that I cannot possibly get enough money to keep living because I must have done one or more of these things or I wouldn’t be experiencing this. If I, and countless others like me fall by the wayside, the true reason for it will be an inability to access enough money and resources to satisfy all of those people who are standing in front of us with their hands out. So, why would I have any love for that? Money equals inequality. It is built in to capitalism and guaranteed to ensure that poverty never ends. It is poverty specifically created to make sure that those who call the shots from the top will never have to experience it. I hate it. There has to be another way.

Because No One Answered (Part Five)

I was in a grocery store some years ago and came down an aisle where a woman was kneeling on the floor looking at products and checking prices on some items that were on a bottom shelf. She talked to herself as she did this trying to select the best item. After a minute or so I heard her say in a voice a bit louder, “I shouldn’t buy his ass nothin’!” It was hard not to laugh.  I know that feeling.

So much of what we are experiencing here in America, and most likely everywhere on the planet is the result of what we have had put upon us by wealthy capitalists. They are a minority of the populace but somehow they have managed to collect the majority of the wealth and power here. We have to stop supporting and doing the bidding for people who are continuously making our lives a living hell. We shouldn’t 'buy their asses nothin’' when they don’t give how they are treating us a second thought. Why have we been so complicit in allowing this to be so?

We have been conditioned to fear and admire in the same breath the affluent among us, and the capitalists laid the foundation for that before any of us who exist now were born. It is all that we have ever known, and to raise hell about it now could lose us our jobs, our homes, and our freedom. The political and corporate elites set up a system that favors and benefits them. Sticking your neck out now could lose you everything. We know it and we fear it every day of our lives. So, we keep the system that glorifies them and keeps us down whether we like it or not. We are paying for the treatment we get by continuing to buy their products and pay for their services and work for them as employees. Untangling ourselves from their web is a monumental task.

People have talked about and written about how unfair the system is to us for centuries and some of us try to band together and rally around stopping the support that we give to our tormentors but we are greatly disorganized and divided on how it could and should be done. Much of the time it has to do with the level of pain that it is causing us. It almost always takes a tragedy and a lot of pain to realize that things must change. As long as we can limp by and not feel too dreadful many of us are not likely to take a step toward fixing our problems. We know that it cannot be done without some sacrifice. Our pain is growing every day now but we aren’t used to seeing ourselves as a family or a community that has strength in numbers so much anymore as generations before us did. Priorities of elitism and the self have turned us in to small islands of individual concerns and we would rather not deal with our differences on a larger scale. This separation makes us weak. Too many people want the same kind of power and autonomy that our abusers have and in trying to establish a coalition there will be far too many of us who want to be in charge.

My previous four posts were written to tell you how to know the people who have the necessary inborn personality traits that can, when combined with the best traits of others, create a chain of strengths that can bring about great change if we stand firm and united in common goals. In order to stand firm you need a mix of leaders, communicators, organizers, and believers in the value of the human heart. Without these combined elements you cannot hope to balance the lopsided and singular goals that tightfistedly govern our world now. Not everyone wants to share this world. Too many prefer slavery and exclusion because they can pretend to be kings and demigods if we are complacent and our efforts are disjointed. Many of us will never feel empowered without help. We are shunned and ridiculed because we don’t possess the illusionary power of the extroverts, but why should we have it? It isn’t necessarily why we were put here. If everyone was born with the same traits of the Fire Signs our planet would have burned out centuries ago. The same can be said about Water Signs who would not have had the ability to rise above the emotional distress of being on a planet where we don’t understand the rules of nature or why we are even here. We have to have diversity to balance our world as individually we are incomplete beings incapable of making it alone. There is no one leader who can change what has manifested. Our country was founded on the ideal that one Monarch should not rule absolutely but those in power now are a collective of believers in their own grandiosity. It was not meant to manifest in this way but they operate as an exclusive and private club now that refuses to see it any other way. Our two-party political system prevents us from making sure that everyone is represented. Others will tell you, and have told you all of your life that you have no worth other than what they assign to you but that is a lie. In truth these people cannot make it without YOU. They have learned to do one thing in this life which is make money out of your toil and labor and willingness to support them lavishly. If they lose that they lose everything and have no life skills that would keep them alive without you doing things for them. Those in power actually do see the writing on the wall predicting their demise but unless we believe it, too, they are still in a position to keep their power over us by stacking the deck and lying about their twisted tactics. We are an endangered species on an endangered planet and in the end if no one answers for that, the major collapse will come as a result of the inaction of those who could have picked us up on their way down. They are on a downward trajectory and they know it, so the best thing to do in their view is to raise their prices, produce less inventory and make out like bandits without doing as much work, and pacify us with amusements and false hope. There may still be hope for us but only if we recognize that we all have a part to play in the revamping of the current system. We are at this point because not enough of us have answered the pleas for help. So many people have been down for a very long time and too many of us allow this because their loss looks like we have gained. That is a monstrous illusion, but cracks in that veneer are being seen today and instead of realizing that we are headed toward the bottom as well, we pretend that it cannot happen here. It did and it has and it will continue to do so.

Armed with the knowledge of our best selves we have all that we need to change the course of the downward spiral we are in. Take the time to remember what is already in you. The answers are revealed in that one endeavor and are there for the taking. Find your potential in what you were born with and join it with others who want to make a difference.

Because No One Answered (Part Four)

Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are of the earth element. Earth Signs are supposed to blend easily with other Earth Signs but I can tell you from experience that this isn’t always the case. I had a relationship with a Taurus once that worked out about as well as two Bettas in the same tank.

Society has suffered some severe rude awakenings in the past few years and many people who struggle with their true identity in this life have a much harder time of it when confronted with changing times and changing cultural ideals. Their first response to kicks in their complacency is oftentimes an aggressive or angry one. The closer that you evolve toward becoming your true self in life the harder it is to blend with anyone who hasn’t attained something similar in their life as well. People that we thought we knew such as relatives and old friends aren’t necessarily evolving at the same speed. Keep this in mind as you look to find your counterparts in the promotion of change because the desire for revolution can easily spiral out of control when change comes slowly in a rapidly declining world. Know that it will take a balance between all kinds of people to create stability. Tolerance amid intolerance is badly needed. The family that you were born into did not come about by accident, so remember that those you find yourself around in this life were a gift to you to help you distinguish between those who can help and those who can harm. When you have to walk away do so without blame.

Taurus tends to be like petrified earth. Just like a rock. It is difficult to talk them into anything and if you try they usually will just dig their heels in deeper. They may look and act like you have been able to reason with them but at the last minute you might find that this isn’t the case.  Not an easy thing to deal with in a relationship of the heart. Speaking of the heart, do not set your heart on anything with them if they have been initially unaccepting because that is probably going to be what you will get in the end - no deal.  No matter how it may have looked between the start and the finish things can backfire on a dime. This is a darn good trait to have in a negotiator for a cause when you are in a nonnegotiable situation, but it is a gigantic pain in a romantic one.

Thinking of trying to establish a worker’s union where you are employed? Find the Taurus in your group to be your spokesperson. This is the Sun Sign of Karl Marx and he was immovable in his crusade for the working class. Tom Petty recorded a song called “I Won’t Back Down” some years ago and it could have been written for any Taurus who has made up their mind on anything.

Virgos are more mutable than Taurus but you need to have your logic on display up front or you will probably get nowhere with them either. Since Virgo may not even want to be the front person it will be easier to deal with them, usually. They aren’t likely to stay with your organization very long if your goals aren’t sound and reasonable, though. They might suddenly stop showing up for meetings with no explanation as to why. If you ask them why they left it would be smart to hear them out on their reason. Their criticism is most likely worth listening to because what they have to say will not have anything to do with their ego. It will come from pure analysis of the flaws that they have seen in your plan of action. This can be annoying as hell to the insecure or the lovers of themselves, though. Think of Dr. McCoy and Spock in Star Trek. Some of their disagreements were a huge pain for the doctor, but Captain Kirk, who was more sure of himself, always valued what Spock had to say about a situation because he knew that Spock was not taking a shot at him personally. Virgos rarely aspire to advance to the top unless the top person is inept at doing the job. If they aren’t outspoken Virgos the best place for them in an endeavor for change is most likely in an organizational position or in the accounting department. If they are with you at the beginning of your endeavor, they will be very good at planning and executing those plans in ways that include everyone in the group. They won’t let you run out of paper clips or pens and they can tell you where every dollar of your funds was spent. They are wonderful support people for those who cannot be bothered with details.

The Capricorn person is usually very respectable as far as being dedicated and efficient. Like most Earth Signs they are capable and quite independent requiring little if any supervision. They know their job and they get to it without complaint. The Capricorn is a great supervisor of others but they have little tolerance for slackers. Just try to sit back on your assets while everyone else is making the grade when Capricorn is in charge. You will be told only once that you aren’t holding up your end and then you may find yourself replaced. These people are excellent managers and they don’t “half-ass” anything. If they feel like the cause is worthwhile, they are super loyal and devoted. There is always a place for Capricorn if diligence and quiet confidence is required. They are simple and focused and the job is done right the first time.

Ideally, a group or organization made up of Fire Signs, Water Signs, Air Signs, and Earth Signs would be capable of covering all the bases in a unified way when collectively promoting positive change but we don’t always get so lucky. It is no different from our nuclear families. We got what we got and that is that, but in assessing how strong we are when in crisis, it can be easier to get our individual jobs done if we focus on the best parts of the individual family members, we have with us. Everyone must be included and there will always be some who are completely incapable of keeping up, so to stay balanced we have to carry some and nudge others.

We have kicked the can down the road for too long. Life is kicking it back at us. Your best contributions are needed to change the future and they already exist in you.

The next installment in this series will post next Friday.  “Live long and prosper” in the New Year.

Because No One Answered (Part Three)

People born within the element of Air are Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini. They tend to be aloof and detached in their relationships with others but can be quite friendly and personable if they choose to be. For most of my life I have found myself in the company of fewer Air Signs than any other element division in the zodiac. Geminis have been the least familiar ones to me with Aquarius following that and Libra being more prevalent. I confess that I tend to feel somewhat uncomfortable with them strictly speaking, but that is possibly because they are a little more difficult to read. If I feel kinship with some signs more than others it is likely because I have had more experience in knowing them personally. So many things go in to who we can and cannot relate to well but in my own birthchart, varied as it is, there was only one planet in the constellation of Libra and none in Aquarius or Gemini when I arrived.

You may already be familiar with one of the most high-profile activists ever, singer/songwriter John Lennon of the Beatles who personified it. John was a Libra. Someone that you may not know much about but have most likely heard of was Groucho Marx. He was also a Libra. I won’t say that he was an activist so much as I would say that he knew in spades how to cut pretentiousness down to size with a biting wit. Groucho once said in an interview that everyone he knew became a Republican once they got money, and he was the only Democrat left in his circle of acquaintances. He was so good at calling out a phony that much of the time his victims did not realize that they were being called out until after they had some time to think about it. It is possible that they never figured out that they had been royally put in their place but it would have been apparent that something had been done to throw them off balance and the joke was truly on them whether they knew it or not. Libra cannot tolerate being thrown off balance themselves. The scales (the ancient kind for weighing things) represents Libra well because they must keep their balance and equilibrium or you will definitely hear about it. This makes them very good at speaking to the world about how unbalanced it is. That is, if they choose to vocalize it publicly. Some do not. They just brood and stay in a snit until they get back in balance.  But you will know that something has hit the fan with them even if they never utter a word about it. Best to leave the room and let them get past it before you come back because they can be impossible to be around until they do.

If you are a Libra know that an imbalance in government or in society needs to be called out as well as any personal one and acted upon or it is unlikely to right itself. You do have to pick your individual battles and use your own personal gifts to make your statements but Libra is usually quite creative in that.  Art, music, and writing are not out of reach for them in some form or another. John Lennon used all of those venues to make his points and they definitely got noticed. Even President Nixon felt the bite from John’s unvarnished truth telling and nearly got himself deported from the US for telling some truths that made our government very uncomfortable. Most of us are unlikely to garner such high-power attention but if you want to make a point, you have some inborn expertise in getting it across. If you are not a Libra but are friends with one, spend some time sounding them out on a particular subject that is a recognizable problem and see how well they can dissect it in a conversation with you. If you have been having trouble finding the right words to call out a troubling issue in the world grab a pen and paper once Libra gets started. They might not ever open their mouth in public about it, but you as their friend are likely to hear some of the best criticisms and pretty good solutions for the problem to put in your next speech about the injustice. Take them with you to the debate. Even if they don’t participate you can bet that they are taking mental notes on your opposition and after the meeting you will be treated to a new batch of comebacks for the next verbal swingfest.

An Aquarius person can be hard to pin down as far as their views on a civic issue. Many of them believe that everyone is very stupid and they see no reason to call that stupidity out unless a problem or injustice is right in front of their face in the moment. They might have to be very angry or offended to say anything about it but the best time to hear their views on anything will be as an issue is taking place. Their opinion will be direct, cutting, and very much to the point. Let them design the protest banners for showing a pointed criticism. If they won’t get directly involved in a protest, they are still likely to show up for your meetings because it might be fun. They do like socializing and while they are there, they might find the fight interesting enough to lend a hand. You will probably be very glad that they are there because their presence is a diversion that can be an indicator of when it is time to take a break and just hang out without being so serious all the time.

I have known very few Geminis in my life but one thing that has always stood out to me when I have been around one is that they appear to not give a crap about much of anything or anybody. Of course, that isn’t true and you will realize it once they start talking to you. Much of the time if they speak to you, it will be after you have been in their presence for awhile. When they do pay attention to you, you will probably have the urge to look around you for the real person that they are talking to because you may feel like it could not be you. It is a “who came in?” moment. If you ever find that you are a person of interest to Gemini in a romantic way expect to see some incredibly written texts or emails or actual letters/notes of epic proportions. They might even remind you of a Shakespearian sonnet. Gemini can write! I am suprised that they all aren’t romance novelists or songwriters with emphasis on love songs. Paul McCartney is one of the more out there and prolific ones. Ask Gemini to write for your protest group’s newsletter or come up with a protest song. They will spare no words and will leave out no important details.

Many air signs prefer to just be “Blowin’ in the Wind”, which is the title of one of the most famous protest songs of all time and was written by Gemini Bob Dylan. They may not formally attach themselves to any issue of what is wrong with the world but do not discount them in your efforts because they can be a tremendous help and support in out of the ordinary ways that can soften the public perception of what you stand for and make it more appealing to the masses and keep you from just preaching your message to the choir.

The next installment in this series will post next Friday. Until then, have a safe and happy holiday.

Because No One Answered (Part Two)

In part one of this series which I posted last week I spoke about the Fire Signs in the zodiac, Aries, Sagittarius, and Leo. Fire brings high energy and drive into their psychology. It makes them great advocates for change in the world. Many people do not realize what they can contribute to the betterment of humanity but we all have something if we are willing to use it. This time I will speak about the signs in the zodiac that represent the element of water; Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

Water signs are the most sensitive people in the zodiac. They feel things more acutely. Some people born in these signs may develop a hard-shell around themselves to prevent their emotional vulnerability from showing. Cancer is probably best at this because they represent the adolescent in the zodiac who is just beginning to learn that life can be very frightening and very tough once you get past childhood innocence. People can be mean and cruel and there is the true realization then that you are a separate entity from your mother. Many Cancer people are very good and efficient at cooking and keeping the home in order. They develop the skills associated with comfort and security.

Cancer is symbolized by the crab who lives in its shell but can poke its head out and walk around if it doesn’t feel threatened. When a threat is there, it is convenient to be carrying your shelter around with you. Because Cancer knows fear and insecurity very well it is easier for them to spot a threat to others before many of us do. They never forget what it is like to be a child and the fears associated with that no matter how old they are. Not all of them venture into child advocacy but they all have great empathy for hurt or abused children. There are always exceptions to this if the Cancer adult suffered abuse in childhood themselves or if elements in the rest of their birth chart have a heavy influence in key areas of their emotional make up but even then, the capacity for protecting others is still within them. They can be moved to tears or greatly angered pretty easily by injustice and will look for a way to intervene when children are threatened very quickly. If you were born in the sign of Cancer, you may deny your empathy to high heaven around others but if you can pull yourself out of your protective shell long enough to admit how you feel, you can bring out your innate understanding of the need to protect others and the will to actually provide that protection in many ways.

So much of the time Scorpio gets a bad rap and is misunderstood for having the ability to sting like hell when they are riled. Try to think of that as in the behavior of a skunk. That word is often used to denote a reprehensible person, but skunks are actually docile creatures unless they are afraid. The only defense that they have is the ability to spray. The sting of the scorpion need not be feared generally speaking if you haven’t offended them, so give Scorpio the benefit of the doubt before you brand them evil. As in most of the problems in this world our ability to help solve them has to come from a place where ego and selfishness need to be put aside. Scorpios are maybe a little better than other signs at setting aside ego because doing that is essential for people who are extremely affected with respect to how deeply they feel things. Pointing out how vulnerable they really are might get you on their bad side for sure if you are deliberately making light of it. I would not recommend messing about with their personal feelings on any subject that is dear to their heart. Look to find them involved in benevolent ventures that are going to maintain a status quo rather than shake up the ground. This might be boring for people who like to stir things up but still waters are important in holding a strong center base. Invite the Scorpio if you prefer peace, and be grateful that the center can hold with their presence.

Pisces represents the last of the 12 signs in the zodiac. It is said that their character reflects what one would be like after all of the lessons present in the previous 11 signs have been mastered or at least experienced. Theoretically one has learned to set aside ego, care selflessly for others, walk away cleanly from bad situations without looking back, and look to the spiritual instead of the physical to make choices in life. These are likely to be the people who truly mean it when they ask “What would Jesus do?” before making a decision. Now, forget every bit of what I just said about Pisces. All of those potentials are still there, but as soon as you expect them you are not likely to get them. In the endeavor to make the world a better place Pisces understands how badly unity and solidarity is needed. They probably will feel supportive about any cause that eases the suffering of people. They will serve coffee and listen to your plans for accomplishing all of your goals, but I doubt that they will support the cause as much as they will support the ones who are advocating for it. Pisces loyalty is with people. It is not with driving ideals. They will be there with you because they like you and believe in helping others but they don’t have to believe in what you are doing to stand by you. They only have to believe in you. Few things in life are as helpful as someone believing in us and believing that we have worth when we have trouble believing it ourselves sometimes. Even though he was a Sagittarius and not a Pisces, Friedrich Engels had a Pisces like faith in the way that he supported Karl Marx and stood with him to the end of Marx’s life and continued to carry on even after.

Whether or not we will actually be effective in what we wish to attain is difficult to predict, but with Pisces there to mirror belief in what we are doing back to us, we are more likely to charge onward with confidence. Pisces will not tell you to pack up and go home because your cause is a losing battle. They won’t tell you how full of holes your theories might be, but they are the crutches that you can hold yourself up with while you learn to stand tall. TV personality, Fred Rogers, of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was a Pisces and few people represent the kind of belief in and support for others that he showed children and adults alike. Pisces believes in magic and believes in dreams. This kind of care and support can also be found in people who do not have the Sun in Pisces at their birth but have it present in their natal chart such as having the Moon or Rising Sign there. It is highly likely that this was the case with Friedrich Engels, and Karl Marx had Saturn and Pluto in Pisces. It is a powerful element and can indicate the propensity for psychic ability if the fish swims in the chart in key places. It also can manifest as true belief in the best potential for others. It can be an unshakable belief if they can see behind the outward bluster of people and into their heart.  And most of the time they can.

Pisces wants no discord with those they are loyal to and will usually bend over backwards to keep the peace. Remember this when you are in conflict about something with your Pisces friend. They are genuinely there for you but the emotional pain of conflict is twice as difficult for them to get past. They will try to move mountains to avoid it, but conflict will leave a mark upon them. Pisces is extremely loyal to those they care about but too many chips at their emotion will eventually cause them to abandon you because their pain can be intolerable to them. If you don’t cross the Pisces tolerance limit, they can set it aside and devote themselves to you when they know that you need them, but do not pester them because they never really forget being badgered about anything.

We are incredibly lucky if we have a Pisces friend. Invite them along to your protest rallies because as long as you can see them in the crowd you can hold on to your belief in yourself.

The next installment in this series will post next Friday.

Because No One Answered (Part One)

In 1967 singer Ed Ames recorded a song called “Who Will Answer?”. The lyrics tell about the many problems of the time that people were experiencing that seemingly had no answer to. The song looks for hope that someone (most likely he was telling us that only the creator was capable of answering, but it does not specifically say that) will come forward and save us from ourselves. More than 50 years later, no one has. Why is that? We still have the same problems that were pointed out in the song, and quite frankly they are much worse and there are more of them. No one knows how to save the world and even if someone did know how only a fraction of the population would be willing to accept that they did. Humans are full of insecurities and contradictions that make it very difficult for them to put those things aside and make a concerted effort to fix the problems that never go away. Another major complication is the fact that too many people are fine with the fact that we have them. So for those of us who still want to resolve the human conflicts that plague us it is necessary to go alone on that road to the solutions and hope that while you travel there others will join you in that commitment. Until they do, the problems are yours. How do you begin to make a difference?

From where you now sit in your little corner of the world, what are your strengths? Don’t think that you have any? You are wrong. As an advocate for Astrology, I would say to first look at your Sun Sign. Let’s say that you were born in the sign of Aries which is the first sign in the zodiac. I already know that you have the necessary drive and commitment to take on a challenge that is important to you but do you know it within yourself? I have studied it and have known many people born in that sign. Introduce yourself to what you were born with.

If Aries wants something it isn’t likely that they can be talked out of going for it. It usually doesn’t even occur to them that they aren’t capable of getting it. Aries represents the newborn baby in the zodiac. They haven’t learned that they can’t do something so they aren’t going to know that they can’t. Maybe sometime later if they fall on their butt several times they will rethink that but until they find themselves on their butt it isn’t an issue. This is the sign of the go-getters. The rest of us will watch them start a project and wonder why we didn’t know that you could do it. Want to move across the country but you see no way to do it? Aries can tell you how. Want to start a business or change careers? Tell this to an Aries and they have probably already done both at some time in their life. So, this is the go to person if you want to start a movement for change or take a stand for the betterment of people because they love a new challenge and will work hard to help set that change in motion.

Speaking of taking a stand, nobody knows how to do that better than Sagittarius. What issue is troubling you? Human rights? Animal rights? Women’s rights? Most likely all of them are if you have more than one planet in this constellation. My daughter has multiple planets in her Sun Sign Sagittarius and she has multiple opinions and beliefs on many issues and puts those beliefs into just about every aspect of her life. The issues closest to her heart are caring for and fostering cats - 22 of them in the past seven years, and in producing short films. Her films are always visually motivating even if you do not think that you care about her subjects because they are usually geared toward making you laugh, helping you see something that you might not notice otherwise, or scaring the hell out of you with monster makeup and special effects. Sagittarius can take feelings and emotions and turn them into art. They can also take a hungry and frightened animal and give it a place to come home to knowing that it is welcome and loved. I have seen her turn feral cats into caring and appreciative little animals capable of love and empathy. They can be vicious little creatures when they first show up and evolve into the most devoted of companions. Sagittarius has a way with animals and with people to encourage the best from them. They make great advocates for a cause and can persuade with just their example.

If you are a Leo, I won’t lie to you. This sign tends to be a crusader only if it actually affects them in some way either personally or affects someone that they love deeply. It isn’t that they don’t care or don’t see that something is broken, it is just that this sign represents the eternal teenager, and the teenager is busy learning what they want to do in life and just experiencing it. What is important comes later. They are in the right now and if the right now is unfair to them, they will definitely see it, but otherwise they will be focused on those things around them that look like a happy time. If they don’t see any happy times in the now, then you will see a very vocal and determined advocate for change.  Things are so bad at the moment that Leo is definitely paying attention because they cannot help but be affected. If this is your Sun Sign, we need you. No one is better than Leo at spotting an alternative to the crisis at hand and they will share it with you.  Most likely with humor. They may try distraction in such a way as to encourage you to step away for a moment from the problem long enough to gain a different perspective, but they are with you as long as they see the need to be. Leo’s are often the comedians who help us through by humorously trashing the perpetrators of our problems by way of poking fun at the way they look and talk and pointing out how utterly ridiculous they actually are. They will point out all of the reasons that you shouldn’t be intimidated by “big shots” because they are as flawed as anybody else and they will name off a list of those flaws for you.  No one is on a pedestal that Leo cannot knock down. They can keep you in stitches even at a funeral by telling you about all of the times the person who has passed was great fun to be around. They might not be able to do that if they were extremely close to the deceased but they can do it for you if there is at least some detachment for them. They know pain and grief but they want you to be able to survive it. You may not realize it but during the worst of times they are carrying you so you won’t fall.  This is a skill that is so valuable that I hope more of you Leos will get out there and let your sun shine in the darkness.

So do not tell me that you cannot be a person who can answer the call for help now when times are so dreadful. I have described only the Fire Signs here but we all have a unique gift to give. I hope that you will see yourself as an individual and integral part of the world family that is very much needed and has much to give to our time on Planet Earth when you embrace the best parts of the real you.

Know Your Candidate and Know Yourself

The US midterm elections are behind us now except for a few that were too close to call. Did the candidate that you supported win? I hope so. Have you ever voted for someone who was elected and discovered after a time that they were not what you expected them to be? Unfortunately, many people lie and cheat when they want something badly. Nowadays they feel little guilt or remorse for this because it is acceptable character in some circles and even expected by some others. Another problem that we have is that many voters will pick a candidate to support based on one ideal that the person has put out there which has little to do with whether or not the candidate is a sound and reasonable person who is capable of doing the job that he/she is running for and more to do with their promise to do away with an influence that people find personally objectionable. This is a selfish and lame reason to do anything, but it is an acceptable one for a person of one dimensional thought. Once you allow yourself to get caught up in a fear and hate based mentality you are not capable of making choices other than selfish ones. So, the rest of us carry the burden of trying to elect someone who is sincere and focused in their beliefs and has some sort of proven record to support the claims that they make regarding how to repair a broken society. But even if we think we know a person to be reasonable and true to form in their decisions it is still possible that they are lying through their teeth. Since you cannot be sure of anyone until they prove that they are what they say, you take an uneducated guess most of the time. Unless you know Astrology.

In two years, we will have another general election for the Presidency. God only knows who will be running for that office this time. Many will throw their hats into the ring and the BS will be flying for many months before we actually know who the final contenders will be. I actually expect to be disappointed in who will make it to the finals. This is not cynicism on my part. It is just facing the reality that my point of view is unique among Americans and what I see as someone who truly means to bring change to a fallen society has different aspects and criteria from the majority point of view. Since I became old enough to vote I have seen few people enter the White House that I had any faith in to make a real difference. The way that we conduct elections and politics here is not conducive to bringing in anyone that I could really believe in. The one exception to that is Bernie Sanders.

I truly believe that Bernie could have won in 2016 and in 2020. But he was sabotaged by his own party both times because reform is not what they want. Maintaining the status quo is. Bernie made an excellent showing in both primaries, and though I do not always agree with everything that he says and does (I usually do, though) I have studied his natal chart and it is evident from knowing what he was brought into this world with that he is true to himself. I have watched and listened to him since I first became aware of him politically and he has never wavered in what he presents to us as what is needed here. I cannot say that about any other career politician that I have ever seen.

I have heard people who actually like Bernie say things like, “He is just not everyone’s cup of tea.” and “He doesn’t show enough of himself personally. He only talks about the issues.” These people are showing the shallowest points of view regarding Bernie. It is not surprising that they can only skim the surface. If you don’t know his inborn nature you will likely misjudge him, as you will with anyone. In 2016 and in 2020 I wrote about Bernie on this blog. He is a Virgo. Do you know anything about Virgos? Probably not. So, I will tell you this as something to ponder upon.

In the 1960’s there was a tv series called “Dragnet” starring Jack Webb who played the character Sgt. Joe Friday. He was a no-nonsense police officer who was famous for saying the line, “Just the facts, ma’am.” That is pretty much how a Virgo operates. They are precise and have little time for or interest in side issues and telling the world about their personal lives. It has nothing to do with “the price of potatoes” or the fact that America is in the outhouse, so in Virgo’s view it has no bearing on “the facts, ma’am.” If being focused and direct is not something that you like or understand then you will never “get” someone like Bernie. To truly know a Virgo, you would have to make the effort to be their friend. They mostly do not have any burning desire to tell their story. If you prefer the more “stand out” types or the folksy “regular guy” types there is a reason for that and you are entitled to your opinion, but the problems that we have now will not be solved by anyone who craves attention and love, and needs a constant ego boost. Nor can they be solved by the phony “I’m just like you” types.  Anyone who cannot set aside ego and transcend the need for admiration cannot be effective when we are in such dire circumstances. I have heard people say many times that we need a president who will run this country like a business. We had that kind of leader for four years and we will be trying to untangle the mess that was made in those years for many more years to come. High profits, competition, and the need for worship from people are traits for the entertainment industry and private businesses. We aren’t making a movie here or trying to sell yachts. The entire world is in crisis and like in any family in crisis it will take an adult who can set aside their personal ego to get down to the real business of keeping the family together and disregarding what the neighbors think. I have seen a few politicians who could do that but they are in a minority.

I have considered writing a book or a series of posts here about the Presidents that we have had in the last 30 or so years by drawing up their natal charts and comparing what traits they were born with and what they actually accomplished when they were in office. It might be quite an eye opener of a read. I do think that it would be a troubling read. So many of us have no idea what we were meant to be like. Our world has evolved in ways that make knowing our true selves difficult in the extreme. Most people are doomed to fail in the endeavor because of capitalism. It takes an Aries-like determination on our parts to even make the attempt but it could be made a little less painful for us if we had parents and teachers who believe that this is an essential goal. If you have that in your life, count your blessings.

Before the next election, take some time to find out when the candidates were born. Look on the internet for an Astrology website that can calculate a chart on their birthdates. This is a very elementary way of doing it and I would not normally recommend it, but you will do far worse in trying to understand what a person is about if you rely on what they say or rely on news that cannot be trusted because it isn’t news, it is profit driven entertainment. You may be greatly surprised by what you learn. While you are there, take a look at your own birth information. The revelation of what you brought with you into this world can be felt on a soul level when you see it. It can also be vehemently denied if you have never been allowed to express it. But a staunch denial is extremely telling in itself. Take what you learn and use it to the best of your ability. It may change your life.

Marx and Sparks

Mention the name of Karl Marx or the word Marxism in many social gatherings and marvel at how quickly the Capitalists in the room will whip out their personal brand of crucifixes and holy water to shut down the demonic blasphemy.  The only other word that I have seen that will get you a stronger reaction from the uninformed is to say “Psychic”.  I have reached the point in my life where I don’t even have to say it now.  All I have to do is walk in to the room. I apparently put out some fascinating vibes now because showing up is all that I have to do to be immediately recognized as someone to be leery of.

I confess that until last year I didn’t know very much about Karl Marx or his philosophy. I had heard his name and snippets about his championing for the working class and I had also seen people react like they were greatly insulted when Marxism, Socialism or Communism were being talked about but since I was not well informed on any of these topics, I usually didn’t pay too much attention. It just wasn’t on my radar.  My radar was booked solid with just trying to keep the wolf away from the door and keep my head above water financially, being that I was a young widow with a teenager and a toddler and [what some would say are] peculiar abilities and beliefs. I was better off not adding any other oddities to my situation, but last year I stumbled upon a YouTube channel called Democracy At Work and after watching a few episodes of their program Economic Update, I knew it was time to add Marxist to my list of unique attributes. I quickly recognized that I was already a believer in all that I was hearing from the host of the show, Professor Richard Wolff.  Why didn’t somebody tell me that I was a Marxist a long time ago? This time, it was a wise thing to let the “Wolff” in the door.

Well now that I have my new identity, it seems like a good time to look into the life of the man for whom Marxism is all about. I have done the research on his birth chart and added my own findings on him based on what the Universe tells me.  I won’t bore you with all of the Astrological specifics because you aren’t likely to care unless you are a student of Astrology or an Astrologer yourself, but it is always fascinating to see what people come into this world with that shapes them into the unique person that they became when the mere fact that they were born creates an effect upon so many people all over the world because they existed.

Karl Marx was born on May 5th, 1818 in Trier, Germany. It is interesting to note how words can indicate subtle clues to what a person is about. Though the city Trier may not be pronounced as "try-er", Marx clearly never stopped trying to change the world for the better. Pay attention to little things like this whenever you see them. Synchronicity and coincidences are many times markers to let us know where we and people we can relate to and connect with will take us if we feel drawn to them. The Universe speaks to us in a language that has mostly been forgotten by modernization and the struggle to fit in. It is here where psychic awareness can be found in many instances.

One thing that I expected to find in Karl’s chart - but didn’t - was some aspect or element that would explain the unique and close friendship that Marx had with Friedrich Engels.  From what I understand, there were many times in Karl’s life that he and his family would not have managed without the financial support of Friedrich. A situation like that without something in the chart to indicate a predisposing factor can usually only be explained by a strong past life connection.  Determining that would require a past life reading, which I might try to tackle at a later time. So this time I will stick to what I learned from Karl’s chart and I found it to be pretty straightforward in his case.

Karl has the Sun, the Moon, and Venus in Taurus.  Taurus in the Sun alone is enough to create a steadfast and immovable type, but add that to the Moon sign and Venus and you would likely get a large and tough boulder of a person in the room. His relationship with his wife was probably a hell of a thing, with lots of sensuality and… well…as I said…must have been a hell of a thing. Explains a lot about why Karl never waivered in his belief that working people deserved better than they were getting in the workplace.  This was a man who had no illusions about what he wanted and that he cared about what other people wanted and needed is explained in these planet positions, but I found other reasons for it as well.

There is Mars in Cancer, that can normally indicate a loving, nurturing parent. It is possible that he was such a parent but we are talking about Mars here, which can bring on strong, war-like feelings toward one’s child which could manifest as a fearful and overbearing one, but it can also extend to having a sense of knowing what is best for people outside of the home, and I hope for the sake of Karl’s children, he just channeled his belief to the needs of humanity. A kid asking for the car or wanting to go on a date with a bohemian looking boy might think twice or plan an air-tight strategy for asking dad about these privileges if dad has this in his chart.

There is Saturn and Pluto in Pisces for Karl and I hope that this softened his temperament when he was engaged in heightened discussions that were not being well received by others. Pisces can be some of the most caring and tactful people regarding their desire to help those in need, but if they are pissed off or insulted for their wish to intervene on behalf of others, they can spew venom as easily as someone born in a Snake year in the Chinese Zodiac if you hit them just right. I am sure that Karl sometimes left a trail of highly offended dissenters even though he was actually born in the year of the Horse. Make no mistake though, the Horse can snort and stomp and rear up quickly, too. Maybe even faster than an offended Snake.

The last of my findings on Karl will probably be the most recognizable traits that anyone who has knowledge of the man shouldn’t argue with.  He was a revolutionary figure if nothing else.  This is strictly Sagittarius, and Karl had this in Neptune and Uranus.  I have never known a sun sign Sagittarian who didn’t have the crusader gene in them, and though it is not his sun sign, Karl nonetheless had it in abundance or you wouldn’t be familiar with his name.  Sometimes Sagittarius is more subtle in their zeal to right the wrongs of the world but I can tell you that even if they aren’t out there preaching to the masses, they are adamant about whatever causes they feel strongly about and you would almost have to be adamantly opposed to whatever they are promoting not to be moved by their sincerity.

Marxism may not be the way of life that Karl hoped it would be in his lifetime now, but it still exists in the hearts and minds of many and is to this day a force that is being promoted by possibly more people than ever before. In a world that is so troubled right now it may be our only hope for a more peaceful planet and a reunification of human beings who are so terribly divided and hostile to each other in ways that were hardly imaginable a few decades ago.

Bringing people back to their basic reality and showing them how to come back from all that the world can sometimes beat out of us has been a crusade of mine for many years now. The legacy that Karl Marx left us is still alive and can still be relevant and life changing in a way that he never lived to see come to fruition if we will just take the time to go back to the past.  It is always possible to go there and find a new future for ourselves, if we are willing to think about the good of others as well as ourselves. Thank God that some people are trying to do that right now. I am grateful to have found some of these modern day crusaders myself.  I hope that you will find some that you can believe in as well.

Thank you, Marx and Engels and Wolff.

Christmas, Jesus and December 25th: All Brought To You By A Higher Power.

Without the ability of some people who were capable of seeing, hearing, and sensing beyond the realm of the physical, there would be no celebration tonight that a majority of people on the planet (Christian or not) look forward to every year. Bringing Christmas as we know it to the people of earth took the ability to recognize and understand that there is a higher power than them, that there are discarnate beings who are capable of communication with humans, prophets, astrologers, astronomers and some very average people who may not have been able to do any of those things but were nonetheless wise enough to pay attention to those who could. It is a sad and frightening fact that even though people exist today who can interpret universal information and use that knowledge to advise us are so often ignored and dismissed as crazy.

That we still celebrate the birth of Christ centuries later is largely due to capitalism. The enormous amounts of money to be made by corporations through advertising and the sale of goods to brighten our homes, promote good cheer and supposedly show the ones we love that they matter to us in a big way. It is said that charitable giving increased enormously after the publication of Charles Dickens’ classic story A Christmas Carol. Thankfully, there are still many who believe that this is the way we should do unto others but I wonder how long the celebration would have lasted if not for the wonderful tale of a cynical and uncaring rich man who was visited by discarnate beings on Christmas Eve?

There are people just like you who tap into universal knowledge every day and try to help human beings across the globe to be still and recognize that we are well on the path to annihilation at this very moment if we don’t turn around and see that the writing of our epitaph is already on the wall.

If a savior were about to be born tonight in the United States, I am afraid that he/she would not fare any better than Jesus and his earthly parents did back when. First of all, few would believe that a savior was a possibility. Second, without some serious wealth in their pockets they, again, wouldn’t have any place to stay. Third, if they were, as Mary and Joseph were, immigrants fleeing from poverty and an oppressive government they would be met at the border by police and put in to cages.  If Mary had already given birth it is likely that border patrol would take the baby away from her. So, remember one thing as you set about wrapping your gifts and making merry this evening, the knowledge of the universe is and always has been accessible to us if we have ears to hear. There are people right here, right now in America who are enlightened to what it would take to deliver us from the road to hell and destruction that we are traveling on. All it would take is to go back to the past and remember that the person whose birth we will celebrate tonight told us to love and care for each other. Jesus fed the multitudes and healed the sick.  Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Andrew Yang and others are working tirelessly to tell us what this country needs to do to end the poverty and persecution of others by the greed and selfishness that has seized America with a tighter grip than I have ever seen in my lifetime.  Robert Reich produces videos non-stop trying his best to educate us to how we got in this predicament and what needs to be done to change it.

These people and others like them may or may not realize that they are enlightened with capabilities that were given to them at their own birth or were developed as a result of love for their fellow humans and their god given ability to recognize right from wrong and call out selfishness when they see it. They are sorely in the minority in 2019 but it does not have to be this way.  Those who are here to make a difference need help from the rest of us. We can take their message, just as people did in Jesus’ time and bring it forward to anyone who will listen and support peace and good will to everyone. I don’t remember Jesus saying that we can exclude some if we don’t agree with their philosophy. All of us have a right to exist in this world by the mere fact that a higher power put us here. If their philosophies are detrimental and unjust, we have laws to protect us from them and a wealth of information in this age to remind them that they are contributing to the very issues that have put us in the dire place that we now stand in. Give a gift of support to all of those who are doing their best to bring back sanity and genuine good will to all of us. Do not assume that you are powerless. You are as likely as anyone to hear the voice of an angel tonight or be shown that you can yet change the shadows of the Christmases yet to come.
