Mention the name of Karl Marx or the word Marxism in many social gatherings and marvel at how quickly the Capitalists in the room will whip out their personal brand of crucifixes and holy water to shut down the demonic blasphemy. The only other word that I have seen that will get you a stronger reaction from the uninformed is to say “Psychic”. I have reached the point in my life where I don’t even have to say it now. All I have to do is walk in to the room. I apparently put out some fascinating vibes now because showing up is all that I have to do to be immediately recognized as someone to be leery of.
I confess that until last year I didn’t know very much about
Karl Marx or his philosophy. I had heard his name and snippets about his
championing for the working class and I had also seen people react like they
were greatly insulted when Marxism, Socialism or Communism were being talked
about but since I was not well informed on any of these topics, I usually
didn’t pay too much attention. It just wasn’t on my radar. My radar was booked solid with just trying to
keep the wolf away from the door and keep my head above water financially,
being that I was a young widow with a teenager and a toddler and [what some
would say are] peculiar abilities and beliefs. I was better off not adding any
other oddities to my situation, but last year I stumbled upon a YouTube channel
called Democracy At Work and after watching a few episodes of their program Economic Update, I knew it was time to add Marxist to my list of unique
attributes. I quickly recognized that I was already a believer in all that I
was hearing from the host of the show, Professor Richard Wolff. Why didn’t somebody tell me that I was a
Marxist a long time ago? This time, it was a wise thing to let the “Wolff” in
the door.
Well now that I have my new identity, it seems like a good
time to look into the life of the man for whom Marxism is all about. I have
done the research on his birth chart and added my own findings on him based on
what the Universe tells me. I won’t bore
you with all of the Astrological specifics because you aren’t likely to care
unless you are a student of Astrology or an Astrologer yourself, but it is
always fascinating to see what people come into this world with that shapes
them into the unique person that they became when the mere fact that they were
born creates an effect upon so many people all over the world because they
existed.
Karl Marx was born on May 5th, 1818 in Trier, Germany. It is interesting to note how words can indicate subtle clues to what a person is about. Though the city Trier may not be pronounced as "try-er", Marx clearly never stopped trying to change the world for the better. Pay attention to little things like this whenever you see them. Synchronicity and coincidences are many times markers to let us know where we and people we can relate to and connect with will take us if we feel drawn to them. The Universe speaks to us in a language that has mostly been forgotten by modernization and the struggle to fit in. It is here where psychic awareness can be found in many instances.
One thing that I expected to find in Karl’s chart - but
didn’t - was some aspect or element that would explain the unique and close
friendship that Marx had with Friedrich Engels.
From what I understand, there were many times in Karl’s life that he and
his family would not have managed without the financial support of Friedrich. A
situation like that without something in the chart to indicate a predisposing
factor can usually only be explained by a strong past life connection. Determining that would require a past life
reading, which I might try to tackle at a later time. So this time I will stick
to what I learned from Karl’s chart and I found it to be pretty straightforward
in his case.
Karl has the Sun, the Moon, and Venus in Taurus. Taurus in the Sun alone is enough to create a
steadfast and immovable type, but add that to the Moon sign and Venus and you
would likely get a large and tough boulder of a person in the room. His
relationship with his wife was probably a hell of a thing, with lots of
sensuality and… well…as I said…must have been a hell of a thing. Explains a lot
about why Karl never waivered in his belief that working people deserved better
than they were getting in the workplace.
This was a man who had no illusions about what he wanted and that he
cared about what other people wanted and needed is explained in these planet
positions, but I found other reasons for it as well.
There is Mars in Cancer, that can normally indicate a
loving, nurturing parent. It is possible that he was such a parent but we are
talking about Mars here, which can bring on strong, war-like feelings toward
one’s child which could manifest as a fearful and overbearing one, but it can
also extend to having a sense of knowing what is best for people outside of the
home, and I hope for the sake of Karl’s children, he just channeled his belief
to the needs of humanity. A kid asking for the car or wanting to go on a date
with a bohemian looking boy might think twice or plan an air-tight strategy for
asking dad about these privileges if dad has this in his chart.
There is Saturn and Pluto in Pisces for Karl and I hope that
this softened his temperament when he was engaged in heightened discussions
that were not being well received by others. Pisces can be some of the most
caring and tactful people regarding their desire to help those in need, but if
they are pissed off or insulted for their wish to intervene on behalf of others,
they can spew venom as easily as someone born in a Snake year in the Chinese
Zodiac if you hit them just right. I am sure that Karl sometimes left a trail
of highly offended dissenters even though he was actually born in the year of
the Horse. Make no mistake though, the
Horse can snort and stomp and rear up quickly, too. Maybe even faster than an offended Snake.
The last of my findings on Karl will probably be the most
recognizable traits that anyone who has knowledge of the man shouldn’t argue
with. He was a revolutionary figure if nothing
else. This is strictly Sagittarius, and
Karl had this in Neptune and Uranus. I
have never known a sun sign Sagittarian who didn’t have the crusader gene in
them, and though it is not his sun sign, Karl nonetheless had it in abundance
or you wouldn’t be familiar with his name.
Sometimes Sagittarius is more subtle in their zeal to right the wrongs
of the world but I can tell you that even if they aren’t out there preaching to
the masses, they are adamant about whatever causes they feel strongly about and
you would almost have to be adamantly opposed to whatever they are promoting
not to be moved by their sincerity.
Marxism may not be the way of life that Karl hoped it would
be in his lifetime now, but it still exists in the hearts and minds of many and
is to this day a force that is being promoted by possibly more people than ever
before. In a world that is so troubled right now it may be our only hope for a
more peaceful planet and a reunification of human beings who are so terribly
divided and hostile to each other in ways that were hardly imaginable a few
decades ago.
Bringing people back to their basic reality and showing them
how to come back from all that the world can sometimes beat out of us has been
a crusade of mine for many years now. The legacy that Karl Marx left us is
still alive and can still be relevant and life changing in a way that he never
lived to see come to fruition if we will just take the time to go back to the
past. It is always possible to go there
and find a new future for ourselves, if we are willing to think about the good
of others as well as ourselves. Thank God that some people are trying to do
that right now. I am grateful to have found some of these modern day crusaders myself. I hope that you will find some
that you can believe in as well.
Thank you, Marx and Engels and Wolff.
